2026

This page contains important information about swim meets for the 2026 season. Read on to get meet ready for a great summer swimming season!

Types of Meets

• Timed Finals: A regular competition available to all athletes. Each event is swum once.

• Heats and Finals: Regular competitions that include finals, where top-place heat finishers (normally 1st to 6th or 1st to 8th, depending on the size of the pool) swim a second time.

• Regionals: A grand heats and finals competition with all the clubs within our Region. Thrilling races and atmosphere to conclude the summer season! Not to be missed. Everyone participates at Regional Championships; swimmers can qualify for Provincial Championships by coming top 3 or achieving PQT (Provincial Qualifying Time(s)) standard swimming in an A final, or coming top 2 in a Relay Final.

• Provincials: The season finishes in August with the Provincials where qualified swimmers from all over BC come together to compete.

Age Group Divisions

Swimmer swim in Divisons based on their birth month and year. April 30th is the determining date for ages. Age Locators can be found here.

Declaring for a Swim Meet

You must declare if you are attending a swim meet before the deadline date to be entered. Your coach will choose the events and enter swimmers into the meet.
