Summer Swimming 2026

Please add your swimmer to the waitlist if interested in joining us this summer. We will do our best to add swimmers if space opens up.

The Squamish Pirates are part of the Vancouver & District Region of the BCSSA, (BC Summer Swimming Association), one of eight regions in the province. The other clubs in our region are the North Shore Winter Club Marlins, the North Vancouver Cruisers, the Vancouver Vikings and the Vancouver Super Sharks. The Summer Swimming season starts in April and goes until early August (mid August if your swimmer qualifies for Provincials). There are typically 5 of 6 swim meets that all swimmers can take part in. The 2026 meet schedule can be found here.

Summer Season runs from May 4th until August 2nd or August 16th if your swimmer qualifies for Provincials.

Volunteer Expectations

Swim meets are volunteer run, and rely on the support of volunteers. To help ensure meets run smoothly, we ask that each family volunteers for a role or shift at every meet their swimmer attends. There are a variety of roles available, and no prior experience is needed. We provide training and support for all volunteers, including those who are new to swim meets, so you can feel confident stepping into any role.
