Keep Your Edge
Fall & Winter Swimming
Keep swimming, keep improving and stay connected with the Pirates throughout the off-season.
Our fall and winter programs focus on stroke development, technique and conditioning while preparing swimmers for another great summer season.

Stay Sharp Through the Winter
Build Skills Between Summer Seasons
Fall and winter swimming gives Pirates the opportunity to maintain their fitness, refine their strokes and continue developing good technique between summer seasons.
Programs run from September through April and include options for both returning competitive swimmers and swimmers who are newer to the sport.
Winter maintenance is focused on training rather than a regular competition schedule, although some internal racing opportunities may be offered during the season.
BCSSA Summer Eligibility
Winter maintenance training is limited to two coached hours per week so swimmers can maintain their BCSSA summer-swimmer eligibility. Swimmers who train more than two hours per week with a coach become “O” category swimmers for the following summer season.
